Still Life


Still life is "a work of art depicting mostly inanimate subject" that are arranged in a particular way. I find this still life intriguing because it captures the simplicity of the cups and it is focused only on the cups and not whatever might be around them. I think the shadows add to the drama of the image, and shadows are something that can be used effectively in still life photography because of the focus on a particular object. The way the image is set up also draws the viewers eye in the direction of the tilted cups.
