Surrealism Project

The overall theme for my project is emotions.

This picture represents anger within and on the outside. Sometimes it is visible, and sometimes it isn't, and we conceal it on the outside. It is surreal because the fire is in her hands, which isn't real. I used a layer mask and the burn, smudge, and feather tools to make this image.

This picture represents embarrassment, both inner embarrassment and embarrassment among others. This particular represents more of the inner embarrassment, as it is the same person laughing at themselves. The fact that she os laughing at herself makes this image surreal. I used a layer mask and the lasso tools to create this image.

This image represents sadness and inner emotions trying to break free. When you cry, your inner emotions are being released, but most chose to hide their pain and don't let their tears surface. This image is surreal because the boy is inside the tear, trying to break free. I used a layer mask and the feather tool to create this image.

This image represents mourning, especially over someone you lost. The girl is innocent and praying and mourning over a loss, and the hands of God come down to comfort her. This emotion can be a powerful and overtake you for long periods of time. I used a layer mask and the smudge, feather, and lasso tools to create this image.

This image represents happiness, and being so happy, you are on "cloud 9". Being on "cloud 9" is like escaping from reality for a while, and taking a breath. Having your head in the clouds can be just what someone needs at times. I used a layer mask and the burn tool to make this image.
