This is a picture for my project. My theme is hands and this photo portrays the beauty that hands create. Without hands, guitars could not be played.

Final Project

This is my first photo. My theme is people and what makes them happy. This photo is girls from my school team and it shows them laughing and having fun with soccer, what they like to do. Soccer is something that helps us get away from school and let's us have fun.

Final Project

The theme for my final project is "Hands". People don't realize the importance of hands and in this project, I want to portray the hands as the center of the photo. I want to focus on the hands and blur the person in the background. "Hands" help people write, build, break, and love. Without hands it would be a lot harder to do simple tasks, and by doing this project I want to show the importance of hands.

Final Project Photo

This picture is supposed to represent an "unstable" home. This photo is not complete of final, as I was going to make it surreal by putting a dark cloud over them to represent tension, distance, and anger.

This photo expresses the emotion of determination (of a cheerleader). You see that emotion being expressed through her facial expression.

I have decided to change my theme to Alice in Wonderland. I am going to recreate the story to represent how we sometimes forget how much wonder is in our world. I am going to use this picture to make one of my surrealism pictures. I'm going to make the moon the cheshire cat's smile and add one of my cat's eyes.

Final Project Sample Photo

This is a photo from last night, taken outside my pool. Obviously, it is a picture of our lanai patio and glass doors, leading into the living room, and their reflection in the pool. It fits the meaning of my project, in that it represents a small but important thing that is largely unnoticed. It represents how many people don't notice how they represent themselves to others upon first impressions. Often, they do not regard how distorted the "reflections" of themselves they present may be. It may seem like a small concern at the time, but as their connections with other people grow, these distortions could make all the difference.
I took this photo to show how this young boy is dressed up in man's clothing which gets the point across that he is growing up to fast and needs to slow down grow on his own time rather than rushing things.

This photo is going to be part of my conceptual series at the end of my project about finding identity or things that define you. The thing that helps define the person in this photo for example, would be football or sports.
this is a picture of crayola markers because crayola was created in 1902.

Final Project Photo

This is one of the photos that I took this weekend. It is about a girl who would like to be able to fly. Of course, because she is human, she can't, but the photo relates to the theme; wanting/longing.

The theme of my final project is finding calmness and serenity in the most unlikely situations.
This photo is one of two for a diptych, and the idea behind it is that when you eat healthy food, you feel more energetic and typically better than when you eat a bunch of junk food.  So, for the second photo of this diptych I plan on taking a picture of someone playing a sport or something else active.

i am doing my project on water and how people and animals depend on it  This is my pool at night and how people use this to enjoy and relax in.

Final Project- "The Story of My Life"

For my final project, I am doing the "story of my life." This is one of my pictures because it represents how I love to go to the beach with dogs. I was at the beach this last weekend and I saw this puppy and because I was at the beach and saw a puppy, I photographed it because those two represent me well.

Photo from this weekend

This is a picture I took this weekend. It is a picture of balloons in the sky that adds to my theme of  letting go of the past and freedom.
I can make this picture better by having her facial expression more calm and peaceful because she is sleeping and her clothes are loose. My project is on clothing and environment affects the mood people are in.

Final Project Idea

The theme for my final project is "home" and the different aspects of home. I hope to capture some thing like the difference between a "house" and a "home" and different versions of the home. The image above is a representation for a similar idea I had. I hoped to create a surreal image of a house on a cloud to represent how the comforts of home can make you feel secure; like you are on your own cloud. I hope to make my image different from this one by using different types of houses or multiple houses.

For my final project i will be taking pictures of my conservative grandma and then of my friends.

For my final project, I decided to take pictures of the bridges of Jacksonville. I want to portray the literal bridges but also the symbolic bridges that we see every day. I will try my best to get a variety of perspective on the bridges. For the symbolic bridges, I will try to capture everyday instances where people are helping other people or somebody is "getting over" a particularly hard time in their life.
I took this picture in a Starbucks restaurant because the cup represents the happiness that it brings to other peoples life. I am thinks about making it my surrealism picture and I will take a picture of a smile then put the smile in the middle of the cup so that it represents happiness.

This is a photo of a horse with a girl's shadow on its side. This shows the horse's emotion of sadness and longing for someone to love it. I made the picture black & white to show the emotion of the horse.
For my final project my theme is music. I took a picture of a piano because it is a musical instrument. I will take pictures of many instruments and musical concepts. Some will be abstract, not showing the whole picture. This will be used to show that music can be played in different ways and how one persons view can be different then yours.

Final Project Photo

My project is about the emotions golf can bring out of people. This photo shows the frustration of an amateur golfer.

This is an image I took this weekend of my friend Ellie. I am doing my theme on loss of innocence and I will put this image in a diptic next to an image of her but in a more beat up and rough scenery to show her loss of innocent.

Final Proj. Griffin Stinson

My project is on the difference between big and small and appreciating the differences. This photo is of a blade of grass and it shows the small part of a big whole.
My final project is on people's idea of perfection. I shot this picture of my friend Grace with plastic surgery markings on her face as if she was about to go into surgery. A lot of people's idea of perfection is to have the perfect face and I feel like this image portrays that.

The theme of my project is acceptance, however I am considering changing the theme.  This is a picture taken of my sister that shows that being different is better than being the same as everyone else.  By playing with contrast, brightness, and saturation, I was able to give the photo a surreal kind of appearance.  Playing with colors also helped the words to stand out on her hands.

My final project is on love. This photo is of my brother and his girlfriend showing their love for each other, as well as expressing the theme of "young love". I am going to show the different types of love throughout my project.

This is a picture of a my fishing reel. In the background is the sunset.
I took a picture of a girl crying. I then edited a censored bar over her eyes. This is one of the photos that will be in the project that is showing her finding who she is. This is one of the emotions she feels along the way.
This is a picture of all of my running shoes that are on a rack in my room. You could easily say that I have an addiction to running shoes due to the amount of running shoes that I have.

Final Project

For my final project I have decided to go with more of the portrait side. My theme is people and what they enjoy doing or what makes them happy, whether it be their job, an activity or anything else that someone could enjoy. This picture shows kids who enjoy playing sports and it brings a smile to their faces.

Friday, November 8, 2013

for my project im a m going to use the theme of generations. The older generation now thinks we arent that good children because we act differently than they did. im going to show in my pictures that even though we are different we are still good.
For my final project I am going to tell the story of many emotions. For example, happy, angry, abandoned/lonely, afraid, sad, jealous, surprised, excited, loved, complete, confused/lost, empty, and relaxed. I want to capture these emotions through a pictures that have actions going on, but they represent one of these emotions. For when I do abandoned/lonely I want to have a girl sitting somewhere with an expression that captures that emotion. She will be leaning against a wall and on  the other side there will be a guy or friend that has the emotion of being happy (or something like that) it will be a triptech that tells the story of how she got left. It will show it.

Cameron Perret final project idea

I am doing my final project on fishing. I will be trying to show how you can find beauty in fishing. some people think of fishing as gross but i think it will would be a great photo project.

For my final project, I wanted to focus on shadows, how they show emotion, and the emotion they illustrate. Shadows can show and stand for more than you would think just by taking them for what you see at first glance. Often times, people don't even notice shadows. Throughout my photos I will show the emotions of different people by what their shadows tell.

I was thinking to do my project on loss of innocence. I will portray my idea throughout my images by putting stereotypical "good things" in stereotypical "bad" scenery or vise versa. I think it is interesting  that good things don't always have to be with good things. This image really sparked my ideas for this theme because it shows how perfectly the two fit together, even though you wouldn't think of them in this way.

Griffin Stinson Final Project Idea

I am thinking about doing my final project on change over time. I would do this by taking photos that symbolize growth and change. For example, I want to take pictures over the course of 15 minutes of the sunrise. I will then compile them into a triptych.

Final Project

My idea for my final project is to take pictures of instruments and to capture how people speak through them. I will take pictures of the instruments close up. I want to capture the feelings they give off, when they are played, in the picture.I want to show the instruments in a bright environment to capture the feeling of light and joy. I will capture each insnstrument in a new and unique perspective.

These photos all convey different personalities someone can have. For my project I'm going to be telling a story of a girl trying to find out who she is, each photo will resemble a new personality trait. However in each photo a censored bar will be over her eyes, but in the end the censored bar will be taken off because she has found who she is and is now comfortable in her own skin. The reason for the censored bar is to covey the thought that your eyes show it all and when her eyes are finally revealed you can tell she is truly happy with who she now is.

final project

I chose to do my final project of people's idea of perfection. Some people believe that to be straight lines and others think that to be purity. I want to take several portraits of people with or surrounded by their idea of perfection.

Peyton Pattillo

I'm doing my project on growth. I am representing this through the growth of a young girl, to a young adult, and getting older. I am also representing this through the growth of flowers, from a seed to the flower. This photo represents  a young woman who is growing and learning about herself. My second idea for my final project is different forms of love.

For my project, I am choosing to focus on happiness. I want to take multiple candid shots of people that are just truly happy. I will stop or just take a picture of every 24th person I make eye contact. This picture shows that she is truly happy. Without happiness life would be so different. I wanted to focus on something that is key to our attitude on life.

Final Photo Project

For my final photo project, I will photograph all the different varieties and emotions golf can bring out of people. For example, in many sports there are set standards on the size of the courts. However, in golf there is no set rules on what the holes must look like. I will shoot different varieties of holes to show the uniqueness. I will also take photos of the different types of emotions that golf can drag out of people at the best and worst of times. Overall, my theme for the project is the variations that golf can bring and how people react to it. It will deal with their triumphs and defeats.
